On the Journey

Leaving Lietuva

Today is my last day in Lithuania- on tap; stuffing clothes into my bag and seeing how much over Air Baltics 20kg weight limit i am, taking a box to the post office, taking all the kitchen implements back to the dorm, writing a couple letters, a beachside barbecue, enjoying the longest day ill have ever experienced in my life, and the shortest night.

It is al so surreal.... a place is home, and then suddenly, its not...

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit (Romans 15:13).

Have a great time in the States--take time to rest, reflect, relax with good friends, recharge.

Great pictures of your recent trip, by the way!

    Leaving Michigan.

Just drove through some fine Michigander territory on Monday! Slept a couple hours in a roadside park just outside Marquette, floated over the Mackinac bridge, decided that "pasties" in northern Michigan probably doesn't mean what the rest of the world thinks it means. Good times overall.

Continued safe travels Thor! Thinking of you as you transition to the next stage.

    Thor -

I'm praying you have a real palpable sense of your home in our God as you travel and transition and adjust. All will be well. :)

I was filling out some paperwork for a program I'm going to go through for debriefing, and I wondered whether anyone was taking care of that for you, Thor. The program I'll be going through at the end of the summer is this: http://www.mti.org/homepage.htm

It's expensive, but I've heard it's worth it. I don't know whether there are any spots left this summer while you'll be home, but thought I'd just shoot this your way, in case it might be something you're interested in.

    Blessings to you!
